We are Streetec

Streetec GmbH was founded in August 2002 out of a passion for automobiles and vehicle tuning. In its early years, Streetec presented several spectacular vehicle conversions at exhibitions and in the press, featuring complex modifications to the chassis, body, and wheels.

Over the years, Streetec evolved from a workshop into a developer of chassis and electronics, manufacturer, and sales specialist. The passion for cars and tuning from its early years has remained intact and still drives the entire Streetec team today. Whether in administration, development, production, logistics, or IT, every employee stands behind the products and develops new ideas to make cars better, more beautiful, or more individual.

The faces behind Streetec

Sven Stutz

After successfully completing his high school diploma (Abitur), Sven completed a dual degree program majoring in mechanical engineering. After completing his studies, he began his professional career in vehicle testing at Pirelli. There, he gained his first experience in vehicle dynamics and was able to turn his childhood passion into a career. After many years of international tire testing assignments, he founded Streetec in 2002, establishing a second source of income for himself. Despite holding various management positions in development at Pirelli, Sven ultimately decided to move full-time to Streetec to further expand the company together with his brother Michael.

Michael Stutz

After successfully completing his apprenticeship as a craftsman, earning a master craftsman's degree and a vocational high school diploma, Michael decided to become self-employed. Over the years, he built his entrepreneurial skills in various companies and partnerships. He developed his expertise in the financial sector as well as in the hospitality industry, but then found his way back to technology, which he had always been passionate about. Ever since he got his driver's license, he had been passionate about tuning and rarely left any of his vehicles, many of which come from the USA, in their factory condition. At Streetec, his technical knowledge is in demand every day, as is the experience from his diverse entrepreneurial background.

The story

history

Streetec GmbH was founded in August 2002 out of a passion for automobiles and vehicle tuning. Even in its early years, Streetec distinguished itself as a pioneer in the field of air suspensions with some spectacular vehicle conversions. After moving to new premises in Höchst im Odenwald in 2007, its reputation increased further, and in the following years, Streetec became one of the largest air suspension conversion workshops.

Starting in 2013, a restructuring was carried out in line with the prevailing market conditions, which led to a reduction in business areas and a concentration on the core competencies of suspension and wheel/tire systems. Furthermore, the focus gradually shifted from pure workshop work to sales.

The next major step was the creation of its own online shop in 2015 and the acquisition of the then already established online shop null-bar in early 2016.

The logical consequence was the development of air suspension products under its own label. Together with KW automotive GmbH, the Streetec-FAHRWairK air suspension line was created, which currently represents the technically feasible optimum in the field of aftermarket air suspension. A complete product portfolio of air suspension accessories is also offered under the FAHRWairK label. Furthermore, the Performance Airride with Bilstein shock absorbers was developed, which celebrated its world premiere at the 2016 Essen Motor Show and offers exceptional value for money. Air suspension conversion kits for H&R coilovers were developed under the brand name CCK Coilover Conversion Kit, and Streetec designed its own label, the CLK Coilover Lift Kit, for vehicles with KW coilovers.

During 2017, the focus was on expanding the zero-bar dealer network. Many strong partners were won over by the concept and represent the Streetec philosophy across borders. In the same year, planning began for the construction of the new company headquarters with approximately 1,200 m² of usable space, which was occupied at the beginning of 2020.

Brand world

At Streetec, we're often asked how the various brands we operate in the market are related. Simply put, Streetec is the parent company, and all other brands are its children!

Streettec GmbH now houses several well-known brands, most notably our trading platform null-bar.

The name null-bar primarily stands for the online shop, which already has branches in several European countries and will expand intercontinentally in the future.

But the national and international dealer network is also part of the null-bar family, which includes an increasing number of tuning companies and dealers. At null-bar, you'll find a comprehensive, high-quality portfolio with fast delivery times and good conditions. After-sales service is also a top priority at null-bar and guarantees satisfied customers.

STREETEC FAHRWairK stands for the technical optimum in the field of air suspension. The suspensions, developed and built jointly with KW Automotive, are unrivaled worldwide in terms of materials, technology, and fine-tuning.

The STREETEC 'performance' air suspension was Streetec's first air suspension, and now offers a wide range of high-quality suspensions at reasonable prices. Shock absorbers from renowned European manufacturers are used.

The STREETEC 'road' air suspension offers high-quality air suspension technology at affordable prices.

STREETEC autoleveling stands for Streetec's air suspension control systems. Innovative new developments are emerging in this area, which can be considered a benchmark in the market.

The TACO label stands for the combination of tank and compressor in a single housing. Thanks to the long development and testing phase, Streetec can offer a sophisticated, reliable product.

The STREETEC ultraLOW is our first in-house development in the field of coilovers. It offers maximum lowering while simultaneously providing sporty handling and sufficient driving comfort.

Entwicklung

Entwicklung

One of Streetec's core strengths is its development department. Using state-of-the-art systems, the engineers work to realize the future visions of each team.

Through partnerships with renowned companies in the chassis segment, Streetec has competent contacts with whom even more complex projects can be implemented. This has already been demonstrated in the past with many products that have been enthusiastically received by the market.

Streetec's expertise is evident in all relevant areas, from design and electronics to its own software development. State-of-the-art CAD/FEM methods are used in design, and all products are developed on computers. In the second step, prototypes are built using 3D printing technology to finally define the component geometry. The components can then go into pre-production. After approval by the development department, industrialization and series production follow.

In the electronics department, Streetec develops its own control units for various applications. Here, too, state-of-the-art simulation software assists in development, ensuring that mature, high-quality products are ready for market as quickly as possible.

Software development primarily supports control technology, but also contributes its expertise to logistics and the online shop. Thanks to in-house expertise in these areas, we can respond quickly to all requirements.

Production

Thanks to its high level of vertical integration and collaboration with reliable, long-standing partners, Streetec can respond flexibly and quickly to sales and logistics requirements.

The assembly of its own-brand air suspensions, including the production of the air bellows units, is carried out in-house. With its existing experience, the production department also carries out repair and service work on suspensions from other manufacturers, such as Air Lift and Air Force.

In the electronics department, products such as the DropX for OEM air suspensions or the Cruise Safe 3.0 as a functional extension for the Air Lift 3P and 3H control systems are completed.

Naturally, the STREETEC autoleveling air suspension control system is also produced in this department. From the circuit board and wiring to the touchpad display.

Orientation for the future

What are Streetec's plans for the future?

Streetec is working on future projects in all areas, all geared towards the goal of maximum customer satisfaction. This includes optimizations in development, production, sales, logistics, and service.

Development is continuously developing new products and optimizing existing ones. This department primarily focuses on the design of new suspensions for air suspension and coilovers. In addition to the still-interesting tuning area, the department has also been working on projects in the off-road, commercial vehicle, and disabled vehicle sectors for some time. Furthermore, control units for various applications are configured and programmed here.

Production is continuously being expanded and optimized in all areas. This ensures that all components are available at the right place and can be installed on time. As a result, sales always has sufficient finished products available for smooth operations with short delivery times. Furthermore, production operates a sophisticated quality system, which allows component problems to be identified early and appropriate optimization processes to be initiated.

Sales, logistics, and service are gradually being converted to state-of-the-art CRM systems. This will improve internal processes and, at the same time, achieve even higher customer satisfaction in the areas of consulting, sales, shipping, and aftersales support.

The new headquarters will create the necessary space for all departments and processes. The various work areas are systematically planned and seamlessly integrated. This will enable cross-departmental processes to be carried out even more effectively and efficiently.

Streetec will further strengthen its market position through additional acquisitions and the conclusion of distribution agreements. The focus here is on chassis technology, but new, interesting business areas in which Streetec can contribute its expertise will also be explored.

Franchise activities will also be pursued to further strengthen loyal partner businesses and attract new dealers and workshops to null-bar. This will enable them to benefit from the image and market presence of Streetec and null-bar.
