The FRAMEOFF magnets are custom-made for use on vehicles. With a particularly strong attraction, you hold your license plate on the vehicle, the rubber jacket protects your paint, the coating prevents oxidation, the adhesive bond is saltwater-resistant and the alloy allows operating temperatures of over 100 ° C.

IS IT STRONG ENOUGH?

If a license plate is mounted on plastic, aluminum, glass or another non-magnetic material, the wall thickness determines the magnetic deflection force. The wall strength of plastic bumpers is usually 2 to 3 mm. With a thickness of 3 mm, the FRAMEOFF magnets hold the license plate on the vehicle with over 5.5 kg, with a wall thickness of 5 mm with more than 3.6 kg and at 8 mm with around 2.1 kg.
This is more than strong enough to fix the plate safe on the surface, but not too strong to be easy to dismount.

If a license plate with FRAMEOFF magnets is placed directly on a tailgate or a front or rear panel made of steel, no contra magnets are needed. The strength of the connection is depending on the thickness of the steel sheet itself. The softcoat magnets have been modified to be good on every sheet of metal, but not neglected.

We always recommend to mount the license plate at right angles to the direction of travel and using all 5 magnet pairs. The best thing to do is to commission one of our assembly partners or you should follow the instructions exactly. This way you can be sure that the plate remains secure and stays in place even for speed over 300 km/h.
