Terranger - CAN bus interface / interface for controlling additional lights via the high beam

The interface requires minimal installation effort. Two lines are connected to the CAN bus (CAN Hi & CAN Lo) together with a permanent 12V supply and a ground connection. The interface then outputs a 12V signal which can be loaded with 1A. You can use this signal to control the relay for the auxiliary headlights. These are switched on as soon as the high beam is activated by the vehicle.

To monitor the function of the interface, it has status LEDs which indicate the respective status:

• Flashing red: CAN signal is being searched for
• Red permanent: CAN signal detected but vehicle type not
• Green permanent: CAN signal detected, vehicle detected
• Flashing green: Speed signal detected

The wiring only requires a little effort:

• White: CAN Hi
• Blue: CAN Lo
• Black: Ground
• Red: 12V
• Purple: Signal output for high beam
